The Outdoor Tomorrow

I’m fresh off of a trip to the Nez Perce Tribal Hatchery in Idaho and I’ll we’ll be talking about what I was able to see and the wishful thinking that I was able to drive home with.

Of course, fish run restoration is something that we’re all familiar with, but what about abundance? The Nez Perce not only have the answer for that question, they’re currently leading the way with innovative hatchery practices that put native spawners on the reds and returning adults back in the Columbia Basin. It’s a success story that makes you ask, “why not here?”.

Also, we’ll be talking about the 2nd archery season that’s kicking off this weekend and the possibilities for the big black tail that many will be after this weekend.
