September 7, 2013- Salmon, Archery and the fight of our sportfishing lives

There’s a lot to be excited about if you’re a NW fisherman or hunter.  The Columbia River Salmon season moves up the river and is providing lots of opportunity.  The coastal system mouths will fare well this week as tides begin to slow down again.  These hold over tides should offer a real nice opportunity to score for anyone who likes to herring fish.  Oregon is now joined by Washington as archery fever hits the Pacific Northwest.  Bill Swann will be by to talk about this and the SW Washington fishing scene.  Also, a conversation with the Executive Director of NW Steelheaders, Russell Bassett as he brings us up to date on the fight taking place on the Sandy.  Many of you are aware that Native Fish is looking to stop hatchery production everywhere and the Sandy River is ground zero with this fight.
